Pauline Cumming: Showcase

The gallery will showcase a small selection of new ceramics from Pauline Cumming.

Pauline Cumming's work focuses on women's stories, depicting strong female figures often inspired from classical paintings. She explores the stages of women's lives including domesticity, motherhood and menopause using candid humour. Her plates are hand-rolled white earthenware, and draw significant inspiration from 17th century Delftware and she regularly travels to Utrecht to stock up on traditional Delfts blauw underglaze.
