Felicity Warbrick - Marking Out: New Drawings
Felicity Warbrick's work is inspired by the surroundings that fed her imagination as a child growing up in the countryside on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales - bothies, barns and farm buildings, den and tree house building and spending most of her time outdoors observing nature.
Her move, some years ago, to rural Shropshire after 18 years in London consolidated these feelings of a life-long connection with wild landscape, it's architecture, history and significance to her as a creative resource.
Open Eye Gallery are delighted to showcase Felicity's work for the first time in a solo capacity. This selection of monoprint drawings explore the delicate approach to her subject matter and how she achieves a balance between a minimalist aesthetic and detailed forms.
