Open Eye Gallery Exhibition Award Winners at SSA/VAS Open: Ade Adesina and Tina MacLeod

The Open Eye Gallery is pleased to present awards at the Society of Scottish Artists and Visual Arts Scotland Open Exhibition to two artists this year: Ade Adesina and Tina MacLeod. In this year of collaboration between SSA and VAS on their annual open exhibitions, the Open Eye awarded two prizes: one in fine art and the other in applied arts. The first was awarded to printmaker, Ade Adesina, and the second to jeweller, Tina MacLeod. Both recipients of the award will have a solo exhibition at the Open Eye Gallery in 2019. 

Born in Nigeria, Ade Adesina studied at Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen, graduating in 2012. He was the Royal Scottish Academy Artist in Residence at Glasgow Print Studio from 2013 to 2015 and has won various prestigious prizes for his work. Tina MacLeod is a Scottish maker who creates tactile jewellery. After graduating from Glasgow School of Art, MacLeod returned to the West Highlands to set up her studio in 2015.
