Lynne Windsor: Creatures of the Land and Sky

An exhibition of new work reflecting painter and printmaker Windsor's love of nature in all forms.

Inspired by the landscape and the creatures found within it, Windsor's work portrays the land, skies, water, rocks, birds and tiny insects that surround her.

Displaying her studies inside various collected vintage boxes, type cases and frames her work echoes the nature of the museum display, drawers and boxes became the protective cases for her paintings and prints - the drawers and boxes suggesting the presence of secrets and awakening one’s sense of curiosity.

Currently based in Lincolnshire, Lynne studied at Loughborough College of Art, obtaining a BA Hons at Middlesex University and later qualified as a teacher of art. Having lived and worked as an artist in Santa Fe, New Mexico for 18 years she returned to the UK in 2009 where she has exhibited regularly.

In 2014 she passed her MA in Printmaking with distinction at the Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, where she continues to supervise the print room. She has also been teaching printmaking workshops at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
