Kirsty Wither: New Work
An exhibition of new paintings by Brighton-based artist, Kirsty Wither.
Wither was born in 1968 and studied at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen from 1986 to 1990. Her paintings are as much about the surface quality as the subject matter, as she applies vibrant layers of oil paint to achieve richly textural outcomes. Since 1989 she has been selected to appear in group exhibitions throughout the UK and from 1995 has had regular solo exhibitions in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. She was elected Artist Member of the Chelsea Arts Club in 2004 and has many works in private and public collections worldwide.
