Henry Kondracki RSA: Water, Light and Air
The Open Eye Gallery presents Water, Light and Air, an exhibition of new paintings by Edinburgh based artist, Henry Kondracki RSA. Focusing primarily on the changing faces of Edinburgh and the cities iconic sites, the paintings reflect familiar scenes afresh.
Henry Kondracki (b.1953) lives and works in Edinburgh and studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, from 1982 to 1986. He has received the Cheltenham Drawing Prize (1999), the Hunting Art Prize (2004) and has twice been the recipient of the Slade Fine Art Prize. His paintings are included in private and public collections worldwide and the artist recently won the prestigious Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize 2016. Kondracki's work has been widely exhibited in the UK and abroad.
