Edinburgh Revisited: An exhibition of Picture-Poems by Gordon Hunter and Don Ledingham

An exhibition of Picture-Poems by Gordon Hunter and Don Ledingham celebrating the City. Pairing photography and poetry, these black and white prints encapsulate the quintessential essence of Edinburgh.

If you live in Edinburgh, have lived in Edinburgh, or have visited Edinburgh, then you will be familiar with many of this remarkable city's iconic sights and buildings. Edinburgh Revisited highlights many of these traditional and archetypal views, the accompanying poems evoking the sense of place.

The Accompanying book includes contributions from a number of well-known Scots with strong connections to the city, each providing a unique perspective on Auld Reekie.

Gordon Hunter and Don Ledingham grew up together having both attended the same school in Edinburgh, before leaving to make their respective homes in the Scottish Borders. Over the past 30 years they have established reputations in their respective fields in photography and poetry, and in 2000 they first exhibited a collection of Picture-Poems entitled 'Borders Inheritance'. The collection, capturing the changing landscape of Scottish agricultural life, was exhibited throughout Scotland, helping to raise significant funds for charity and culminating in an invitation to exhibit in the Scottish Writers Museum in Edinburgh.

A selection of Picture-Poems from 'Borders Inheritance' are also included in the book as a reference to the work Gordon and Don were undertaking at the turn of the millennium. Edinburgh Revisited builds upon that experience and features many of the places Gordon and Don grew up beside.

All proceeds of sales of prints and books to go to Leuchie House and 500 Miles.
