Cristina Zani Jewellery

Cristina Zani’s work is inspired by the contrasting architecture of South Korea, where she lived and studied for four months as part of an exchange program during her Masters degree. She works primarily with wood, which she combines with precious and non-precious materials.

The choice and juxtaposition of materials, shapes and colours echoes the modern buildings intertwined with bright ancient wooden temples and vibrantly painted palaces. Like those buildings, her pieces show the vulnerability of materials when exposed to time and elements as well as the layers and colours that slowly transform with the passing of years.
