About the artist - Brita Granström

Brita Granström's Nordic roots are evident in her paintings which are made on location both indoors and outdoors in all weathers. Granström is known for her depictions of delicious interior views and the wild all-weather landscapes near her seaside home. Many of her paintings captures an essence of her daily family life.

Brita Granström was born in Sweden in 1969 and graduated in 1994 from Konstfack in Stockholm. She has lived and worked in the UK since 1994 as both artist and illustrator. As well as exhibiting at the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh Brita exhibits with galleries in London and Aldeburgh. Her work is in the Borchard Collection, the Ruth Borchard Collection, the Hiroshima Peace Park and in public and private collections worldwide. She has frequently appeared on both TV and radio.
